From his home in Treviso, Italy, Carlo Giustini crafts topographical field recordings via cassette tapes, into spirited new versions of reality. With a spell of stellar recent release on the likes of ACR, Purlieu Recordings, and Bad Cake, he’s quickly established himself as a key voice in the field of adventurous and evocative field recorded sound art. This week he spins us some of his own music, a couple of inspirations, plus talks us through his methods and philosophy.
